Accreditation of Mental Health Service Providers
Please contact staff in the Bureau of Community Services and Planning if you wish to seek accreditation as a service provider under IAC 441-24. They will assist you with the process.
Accreditation responsibilities of the Division of Mental Health and Disability Services include:
Providing training and technical assistance to community based providers to support them in preparing for service accreditation review.
Developing and implementing accreditation and qualification standards for community based service providers in conjunction with the MHDS Commission.
Conducting provider reviews required as part of the facility/provider accreditation process as defined in Iowa Administrative Code Part 441, Chapter 24.
